Football Information

The program is open to children who are 5 -12 years of age as of August 1.

TEAM ROSTERS & REGISTRATION POLICY
Each football team's roster will be limited to a maximum of 40 players. If the number of participants exceeds roster capacity, this may result in cuts.

Season registration fees are required at the time of registration. Should your child not be placed on a team, a full refund will be issued.

PRACTICE DETAILS
Location: APSB Warehouse, 9690 Airline Hwy, Sorrento, LA 70778

Summer practice schedule:
July 6th - August 7th: Monday - Thursday 6pm - 8pm

Fall practice schedule:
August 10th - end of the season: Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday 6pm - 8pm

• Do not wear game jerseys to practice
• We practice in the rain 
• A parent must remain at the field during practice 
• Only coaches registered with the organization are allowed on the field - all violators will be held accountable by the following: 
  • First offense - warning granted 
  • Second offense - ejection from practice field 
  • Third offense - removal from the organization 
• Each player should bring a water bottle 
• Bug spray and sunscreen are recommended and should be applied before practice begins 
• If your child cannot attend practice, please message the coach via the team communication app 
• No alcohol, vaping, or pets. Please do not litter. 

All home games are played at "The Pit" located at 10400 George Lambert Rd., St. Amant, LA 70774

• Football players are required to arrive one (1) hour before their game begins
• Only coaches registered with the organization are allowed on the field - all violators will be held accountable by the following: 
  • First offense - warning granted 
  • Second offense - ejection from practice field 
  • Third offense - removal from the organization 
• Treat all players, coaches, referees, and spectators with respect 
• Disruptive fans will be asked to leave - if you do not leave willingly, we will stop the game and have the police escort you out of the gates 
• No noise makers or confetti are permitted at the games 
• No ice chests, outside food and/or drinks (this includes alcohol) are allowed into the games 
• Vaping is not allowed on school property 
• It is our privilege to use "The Pit" for our home games and it is our responsibility to keep the football field and stands clean
• Playing time is not guaranteed, as our goal is to win - our coaches try their best to ensure each child gets a chance on the field through the season 

Uniforms and equipment provided by the St. Amant Jr Gators are rented and must be returned at the end of the season unless the team qualifies for a playoff game.

St. Amant Jr Gators will provide the following:

• Game day jersey
• Helmet
• Shoulder pads​​​​​

Parents must provide the following:

• Black game pants
• Black socks
• Chin strap 
• Cleats 
• Mouthpiece - cannot be red or clear
• Practice jersey - any color
• Practice pants 

Parents are as important to the success of the team as the players. Coaches and parents must work together. To ensure respectful and productive communication, the St. Amant Jr Gators enforce a 24-hour no-contact policy following any heated discussion or incident. During this time, parents and guardians are not permitted to contact coaches, assistant coaches, or Board member regarding playing time, coaching decisions, or game or practice matters. This cooling-off period allows parties to reflect and communicate effectively. After 24 hours, concerns may be addressed through the appropriate channels in a calm and constructive manner.
